Anyone else ready for Spring show up? We love the snow but after a good snowy winter we want to see the daffodils start to sprout!
It’s Monday, and it’s time to tell you all about our weekend! It was a great one ya’ll!
Friday was spent anxiously preparing for our first big wedding of the year, and the official start of our wedding season. After packing and prepping our gear, going over timelines, and formatting cards… we decided to do our feet a favor and invest in some “real shoes”. You guys know we like to dress as professional yet fashionable as possible at weddings, and that includes what we wear on our feet. In the past we’ve always worn low heels, boots, or cute flats. These NEVER work. Cute is never all that comfortable. Our feet are always killing us before the ceremony starts and we just couldn’t take it anymore. So we headed out Friday evening to find some shoes that would give us a little support and cushion and we did! Thank you Clarks for making adorable Mary Janes that look fancy but feel like sneakers!
Saturday morning finally arrived and we headed to the Madison Hotel in downtown DC where the Bride was getting ready. After a relaxed morning, the group was ready to head to the Carnegie Institute of Science for the ceremony and reception. Erin and Michael’s wedding was incredible. There’s really no other way to describe it. Every detail was thought of, the Bride and Groom were dressed to perfection, the day went off ahead of schedule, the weather was great, and the guests had a wonderful time. It’s the type of wedding day everyone hopes for. Here’s a quick look at one of our favorites of the Bride and Groom.
It was a late night for us, but our feet felt great! After the wedding ended, we made it home around 1am and by 3:30 all of the photos were backed up. So Sunday morning we slept a little past our usual wake up call 😉 Then we spent a relaxing day with family, went to a baby shower, and watched the Oscars.
