Monday Minutes :: July 6, 2015

Hey there, and welcome to July! It’s the first Monday Minutes, weekend recap of July… wow! This weekend was the first work free weekend in a long time for us, and we had so much fun! But that means today’s post doesn’t have any weddings or engagements to share with you. Instead, we have some fun things to share and a big surprise to hint at (we’ll be sharing more later this week). Here’s a rundown of our holiday weekend…

Saturday was the 4th of July and it turned out to be a great day. We started off the day at the La Plata Watermelon Bash at town hall. Sweet Cheeks was a pro at playing in the water slip-n-slide and of course he fit in a several pieces of watermelon. Chubby Cheeks had a great time at his first bash. In fact… someone snuck him a first taste of “real” food (more on that later). After cooling off and sneaking in a nap for the boys, we headed out for fireworks! Easy subs and snacks from our lawn chairs was the perfect dinner before the show started. Both boys loved the fireworks, and Chubby Cheeks proved to be an amazing little guy once again. Not only was he a brave boy who didn’t seem to be bothered by the loud booms, he decided it was bed time and fell asleep halfway through the show.

We’ll do a big post on our family 4th tomorrow, but for now here’s a few that will end up in our family photo album…

 

Last week, Betty was busy behind the scenes, getting our brand spankin’ new client gifts perfectly packaged, and mailed out. These were a labor of love, and a huge project. Now that the first round of gifts have been received by this year’s wedding couples, we are close to being able to share them with you all! Check the blog later this week to find out what these beautiful boxes are all about!
