Ask Anything :: How to get in touch

Ask Anything

Hey there! Today we wanted to help answer a common question/clear up what the best way to reach us is. We love technology and social media for all that it’s worth, but sometimes with so many avenues to contact a business or person it can be confusing for everyone. So we’re making sure to emphasize the methods for contacting us here at Birds of a Feather.

Email: The absolute best way to reach us is through our email. We have access to this email account from many sources like our mac, our laptops, our iPad, and our phones (which are always on us). Both of us are checking this email account daily, and often hourly. This is our preferred method of contact for many reasons but mostly because it allows us to respond to inquiries and questions faster. Because we’re not behind our desks with any consistency during the week, we answer our inbox whenever we can.  Sometimes that’s 11:00 at night. Sometimes that’s 6am before a wedding, sometimes that’s from our phones while driving to a shoot (we drive together, so it’s safe), and sometimes that’s in line at the grocery store. By sending us an email, we are free to respond even at crazy hours that aren’t typical “business hours”. All in all, email is the best way to reach us!

Methods for contact by email: There are two ways you can reach out to us, especially if you’ve never done so in the past and want more information about our services. You can use the Contact Form directly from our website, or you can send an email directly from your own email account to birdsofafeatherphotos@gmail.com.

We didn’t have a photo of our phones or anything that worked with this post, so instead here are some pretty bouquets 😉

Not the best way to reach us:

1. Phone – Our studio line is set up to receive voicemails, and we check them every day we make it into the studio. Because we are not at the studio 9-5, 5 days a week this can be tough. When we are in the studio, we’re using it for meetings, and boudoir photo shoots. During these times, we are unable to interrupt the meeting or shoot to answer the phone. Every once in a while, one of us is in the office working on business things, and on those rare occasions we’re able to speak by phone if a call comes in. Most of the time however, we’re off site either shooting or taking care of other business needs. There is a natural lag time in our ability to even know a voicemail has been left for us, before we have the opportunity to call back. If however we had an email, we would have had the chance to answer all your questions from the checkout line or after business hours  😉

2. Facebook – Oh Facebook. We love it. Couldn’t live without it. But we cannot keep track of messages on Facebook to our business or personal pages. Facebook business pages are different from personal pages, and couples who inquire via Facebook will almost always have a hard time hearing back from us. The notifications for new messages is inconsistent and we just can’t trust it. So please, if you find us on Facebook and want more info please click the link to our website, go to the Contact Form page and contact us that way. Or as always, feel free to send an email directly to us.

We hope this helps! Have a great Thursday!
