2014 Intern Search!

As we go into our 2014 wedding season we are searching for a team of interns! This group of interns will be our side kicks, our extra set of hands, our support, and our assistants during the weddings we photograph. These interns will be our “wingmen” (or wing women) so to speak, assisting us throughout a wedding day from start to finish. If you or someone you know would be a good candidate for this internship, we’d love to hear from you! Our goal is to have these internships filled by the end of March, and we hope to interview candidates soon.

So let us tell you who we’re looking for…

*A confident, professional yet personable representative of our company who will be working along side us at weddings

*A problem solver who, with poise and a smile, can accomplish the tasks at hand even when they require some quick thinking

*A detail oriented, planner who comes into each wedding day over prepared and ready for anything

*A friendly, gracious, approachable demeanor that will put wedding guests, the bridal party, and family members at ease. You’re easy to talk to, and you are comfortable speaking to others.

*A recent college grad or current student interested in a future in the wedding industry. This is not a photography internship, rather it’s a wedding/event coordinating experience.

 

Now let us tell you what you’ll be doing…

Interns will assist photographers throughout a wedding day, typically from start to finish. Tasks will include:

*Assisting with, transporting, and looking after photography equipment

*Keeping track of the wedding day photography timeline

*Assisting photographers with Bridal Suite detail photos (handling the Bride’s dress, shoes, jewelry, etc.)

*Gathering family members and Bridal Party for formal photos (this is where a great personality and confidence comes into play!)

*Relaying messages and information between photographers

*Assisting photographers during portraits – fluffing the wedding dress, holding reflectors, etc.

The majority of our weddings take place on a Saturday, and we’ll need firm commitments for these dates. However, we’re looking to find a small group of interns who will share the responsibility, rotating weekends, therefore leaving each intern several weekends off throughout the year.  This will be a part time (maximum 25 hours a month) paid internship position.
