Business

Good morning! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend and were able to enjoy some of Sunday’s warm weather! Here’s a rundown of our weekend on this week’s Monday Minutes:

First things first… we want to thank everyone who has supported us along our journey, especially the couples who have given us such incredible reviews. This is our dream job, and we get to do it because of YOU. Friday morning we received an email from our Wedding Wire account letting us know we had a notification. So after logging in and seeing that we had won a 2014 Couple’s Choice Award for best Photography in the DC area, we about fell over. We had no idea we’d even come close to the top 5% of photographers in our area, and to be placed in a group with such amazing photographers is truly unbelievable. So thank you to everyone who continues to leave us their kind words and support. We’re so excited! Thank you!

After pulling our jaws up off the floor from the shock of realizing we’d won an award, it was time to get Sweet Cheeks off to school for the 100th day of school! The kids were supposed to wear “100 things” and thanks to Target’s readily available supply of goggly eyes and superglue, Sweet Cheeks was up for the challenge  😉

Once he was in good hands with his teachers and classmates, we headed to the studio for a full day of business meetings and consultations with new couples. We love our studio more and more every day we get to spend there, and we got A LOT of use out of it this weekend. Saturday morning we were back at the studio early for another day packed with consultations. 2015 dates are filling so quickly we can’t believe it! By 6pm Saturday night we had met with 6 new 2015 couples and our voices were tired, so we called it a day and headed to Maggie’s house for dinner with our boys. John Boy was home too and it was so nice to see him!

Monday Minutes 2-3

Sunday came and we found ourselves with no major work to be done. It was tough, but we kept ourselves away from the computers for an entire day dedicated to spending time with our families. We watched the Superbowl (for the commercials) and felt bad for Payton Manning after that wipe out of a game. Ouch!

So that’s all the fun and exciting things we have to share with you from this weekend. Here’s to another great week ahead of us all! Have a good one!
