Last week we ventured outside of our “home base” zone for weddings, traveling to Kansas City, MO for our very first destination wedding. It was so much fun! Not only did we get to experience a part of the country we’ve never visited before, we had the honor of documenting the wedding of two very special people. Kristin and Shawn along with their wonderful families welcomed us with open arms, and lots of food 😉
More photos from Kristin and Shawn’s wedding will be posted at the end of the week, but while we work on them we thought we’d share some photos of this beautiful part of the country. We could seriously shoot here every weekend. The Weston Red Barn Farm is family owned and operated by a delightful couple who have a deep love for their land, home, and Missouri pride.
The photos below are of quite, beautiful and serene landscapes. Today however, there are images surfacing of the wreckage and tragedy from the tornadoes that went through Oklahoma. This part of the country is in our hearts today while they search for survivors, and begin the recovery process. We are just so blessed to be home safe, and we never want to forget how quickly things can change. Prayers go out to the midwest.
