The end of the school year was always such a fun but sad day. The work was done, no more science projects or homework assignments. The summer sun, days by the pool and late evenings were ahead of us making it an exciting time of year. But another year was gone, and for kids who love school and love their teachers it can be a little bittersweet. It always was for us. So when Sweet Cheeks had his first last day of school, we got a little choked up. He’s grown so much, he’s not a baby anymore. He’s a “kid”. He talks to us like he’s an adult, takes himself potty, puts on his shoes, rides a two wheeler, and LOOKS older. How blessed we are to watch him grow, healthy and strong. Too many parents don’t have that luxury, so we’re not complaining. But our hearts our full as we watch him grow, quietly wishing he’d slow down just a bit.
Here he is on his last day of his first year of Pre School!
And in case you can’t remember what he looked like on the first day, here’s a little reminder. He looked like a baby!
