Jen and Mike :: Sunrise Cherry Blossom Engagement Photography

We’re not exactly morning people. Which is why it’s really sad that the morning light is so beautiful… it forces us to wake up very early for shoots like this! When it comes to DC cherry blossom week, the tidal basin is a mad house at all times of the day, but the early morning sunrise time of day is the least crowded. Cherry blossom engagement photos are the most sought after kind of engagement photos of all time (at least if you live in/around DC). It’s impossible to predict their peak accurately enough to schedule a session months in advance, so we don’t typically do a lot of these blossom sessions. Jen and Mike however, they got very very lucky. Not only did their engagement session date fall during the peak bloom of the season, the weather was as warm as it has been all year so far! The orange and pink glow of the morning sunrise was perfect, soft and gorgeous. We’re so happy these two ended up with the cherry blossom photos they were hoping for. And we’re just happy, that even though other photographers were knocking us out of the way and masses of tourists were surrounding us, constantly jumping into the frame… you can’t see any of that in the photos  😉
