Last Friday morning we were in our yoga pants, Sweet Cheeks had just been dropped off at nursery school, and we were running to the store to pick up a few things we’d need for the next day’s wedding (like umbrellas and ponchos). Then our phone rang. It was a friend of ours, who also happens to be a wedding videographer. He had just arrived to that day’s wedding to realize the couple’s photographer was ill, and would not be able to attend the wedding. They would be without a photographer! So he called us. The ceremony at the Courthouse was to begin at 10:30, which meant we only had 45 minutes to run home, get into real clothes, run back to the studio to put together a bag of equipment, then get to the Courthouse in time. We had to say yes! So we ran a few red lights, and got there with a few minutes to spare. Meanwhile the couple had no idea any of this was going on. In the end, all that matters is that their wedding day was documented in photos, and we were just happy to be the ones to give them that.
Even in a little rain this group was all smiles!
