When we said to ourselves “Hey let’s throw our name out there and see what happens… just for fun” we decided to send in our nomination for the Chesapeake Bridal Awards. Never, ever, did we image we’d make it into the top ten. We did one or two Facebook posts letting friends and family know we were officially in the running and left it at that. Today we realize thanks to all of YOU, we’ve made it into the top 10% of all the photographers who were nominated! To be honest we’re blown away, and didn’t think we’d get past nomination rounds. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for taking the time out of your day to open that website, search for our name, and click vote. It truly means so much to be in the company of so many incredible wedding professionals.
Now that we are in the top ten, voting begins! So if you are a fan of our work, if you appreciate our commitment to our couples, or if you just feel like voting for us… here’s how to do it!
Voting is on Facebook, and each person has the ability to vote twice. The two wedding publications who are putting on these awards are taking Facebook polls individually, and both of your votes count!
1. Go to the Charm City Wed Facebook page and make sure to “LIKE” the page first. You must “like” their page or your vote will not count. Then, follow the arrow in their cover photo to find the link for the Poll app, you’ll find it next to the button that shows how many likes the page has. There, under the Photography category you’ll want to click on Birds of a Feather Photography in the drop down menu. Viola! You voted for us once!
2. Next, go to the Bayside Bride Facebook page and don’t forget to “LIKE” them as well. And just like before, your vote only counts if you “like” the page. Next, follow the same arrow from the cover photo to find the Poll app, in the same place as the last one. Look for Birds of a Feather Photography again and cast your vote. Now you’ve voted for us TWICE and you’re done!
Voting ends next Monday the 27th so many sure to cast your votes early and spread the word!
