Pretty Pumpkins Event :: Alicia Jayne Florals

This weekend was our first weekend “off” in months. Oddly enough, we had no idea what to do with ourselves! Saturday we both decided to stay home, clean our houses, do a little Thanksgiving shopping and just relax with our boys. Sunday was such a fun day, and we started it off meeting with an adorable new 2015 couple! Then we bundled up and headed over to Mount Republican estate in Southern Maryland for an afternoon full of fall goodies and lots of fun. The always incredible Alicia Jayne Florals hosted a Pretty Pumpkins event on the grounds of this beautiful historic home. 20 ladies gathered under heaters to design and arrange a pumpkin and floral centerpiece for their Thanksgiving dinner tables. We were so lucky to be able to attend, and we had so much fun! We ran into a lot of old friends, and made some new ones… we even got to spend the afternoon with one of our former Bride’s and her mom! The fairytale pumpkins to choose from were perfect, the fresh stems of flowers were beautiful, and Alicia’s direction made this floral design thing seem do-able! It was so interesting to see how different each centerpiece ended up looking. Of course, we had to take a few photos of the day… so take a look at the first ever Pretty Pumpkins event! (We’re pushing Alicia to do more of these things all year… they’re just too fun!)

The home was incredible! Did you know you can host a wedding here?! We had no idea!
