Today we want to share a few photos from behind the scenes of our most recent styled shoot. Early this past Sunday afternoon, several vendors gathered at Cove Point Lighthouse to set up and organize our Fall Styled Shoot. This was a BIG one, and one we are very proud of. The goal is always to out-do ourselves from the last time, and we sure do love how this Fall shoot turned out!
While we were setting up, some of us were chatting, and we realized how different the final photos look in comparison to the not-so-pretty behind the scenes stuff. All the hammering, heavy lifting, lugging, sweating, hair spray, safety pins, set up and break down are not usually seen. So we decided to grab a few behind the scenes photos to change that ๐
The beach was a nice, big open space and we were so excited when we arrive to see all the space we had to work with! Then we realized how far we’d have to carry everything, and we were slightly less excited ๐ Erika of Love Nora Adornments, Alicia of Alicia Jayne Florals and Michelle of Michelle’s Cakes had a work out!!! They did most of the heavy lifting and walking on and off of that beach.
Erika constructed the most beautiful ceremony backdrop that was so well made, it practically became a sail in the wind. This thing could have sailed a boat! She and her fiancรฉ made a few changes and it was perfect.
Alicia always has the cutest ideas for yummy snacks for our styled shoots. This time she was in charge of the apple s’mores, and she impressed everyone with her caramel drizzling skills.
Yeah… that’s a sofa being lugged out onto the beach.
We also learned how darn heavy a 3 tier cake is! Michelle had everyone holding their breath while the cake was brought out.
We built a fire for this shoot, and just as the sun dipped below the tree line we hustled to get the flames going!
The entire day was a huge success and we are so excited to share it with you! Check back soon for a full post of the shoot, but for now here’s a sneak peek ๐
