Good morning! Happy Friday! Today we’re officially starting off one of our most busy, but most wonderful weekends in the second half of the year. After working a non-stop week we’re packing our bags and driving out to the middle of West Virginia for Sara and Matt’s wedding. We can’t wait! It’s going to be a beautiful day and we always like to travel to new places… especially for weddings. We may never get home the same route we took to get there, but it’s always an adventure.
After we shoot Saturday’s wedding, we’ll head back to the hotel, take a quick nap (seriously), then wake up and hit the road before the sun, and drive the 5 (plus) hours to Solomon’s Island to set up for the Sealed With a Kiss bridal expo. Yes. We are crazy. Thank you for asking. 😉 Hopefully we’re able to shower at some point prior to the expo, however if we look a little disheveled don’t hold it against us. We might be a bit tired.
That’s where cake comes in! Aside from our dear friends and lifelines… Diet Coke and Starbucks… the large amounts of sugar and sweets we’ll be consuming is bound to keep our eyes open and blood flowing. Saturday night may call for TWO pieces of cake from Sara and Matt’s reception, and the cake vendor at the expo will wish our booth was not placed next to hers. Samples galore!
So if you need to reach us this weekend, please be aware we’ll either be shooting, sleeping, driving, or at the expo chatting with new couples in between bites of cake samples. Sunday evening we’ll get caught up on email before passing out until lunch time the next day. If you send an email you may not see as fast of a response as normal, but we promise to get back to you as soon as possible!
Now we’re off to load the car, stop off for a 2 liter of Diet Coke and a trenta skinny vanilla latte, then make our way into the rolling hills of West Virginia! Tonight… we’ll be eating cake. Have a safe and fun weekend! See you Sunday at the Sealed With a Kiss expo!
