Monday Minutes :: Last of 2015!

Monday Minutes

Today is the last Monday Minutes post of 2015! Ahhh! This year has gone by so quickly! It was wonderful, joyful, fun, rewarding, and in our option the best yet. We’ll review the year thoroughly next week, but today we’re closing out our last recap of the weekend with a special elopement session and an engagement session in one of our favorite cities.

You might recognize Dara. She has been one of our assistants for almost two years, and we adore her! A few months back, Dara broke the news that she was moving away to pursue career advancements and although we were thrilled for her, we were a little sad to let her go. Then a couple weeks ago, we caught up with Dara when she broke more news to us… she and her long time boyfriend had decided to get married! Jeremy is such a sweet heart, they are a perfect match, and so we were thrilled to hear that they would be home for Christmas. When Dara asked us to photograph their elopement portraits, we of course said yes! Dara wanted to incorporate classic landmarks in our cute little hometown for their photos, and we were so excited with her plans. We’ll have more from this elopement session on the blog later this week, but for now here’s a sneak peak!

Yesterday, we wrapped up the 2015 year with our last session. Natalie and Elliot strolled along Old Town Alexandria’s cobblestone streets with us for their engagement photos, and we had so much fun getting to know this couple. Christmastime in Old Town… it doesn’t get any better! More from this wonderful couple’s session later in the week!

Christmas is just days away, but we’re still working to get all of our photos edited and sent back to these great couples before taking a little time for ourselves. So stick with us the next few days to check out these full sessions, we’ll have plenty more to share before Christmas Eve!
