If Halloween isn’t your favorite, and you’re just ready to put up your Christmas tree, feel free to skip right over this post 😉 Halloween in our family is a big deal. We love it, we look forward to it, we start to plan costumes in the Summer, we believe in hand made costumes, and lots of pumpkins. This year was a big one. Not only were we “off” on Halloween, it fell on a Saturday! Hooray! We had ALL DAY to get ready. We started early with yummy food and snacks and just hung out. We put the freshly carved jack-o-lanterns out on Maggie’s front steps and spent more than a few minutes deciding how to arrange them all. There were ten total! We started getting into costumes a little early, but it turned out to be just enough time to get the Tin Man and Lion all decked out. Putting face paint on a 4 year old is not as fun as it may seem. We took about 100 photos of the boys, and then it was time to trick or treat! Chubby Cheeks lasted a whole hour before he was ready to be out of his costume. He was such a good baby, and he got into character too. He was growling like a Lion all night! Sweet Cheeks loved being the Tin Man, and he went for another hour of going house to house. As we were walking, he would randomly stop in his tracks and say “oil can… ooooiiiiilllll cannnnnn” out of the side of his mouth. We’d have to pretend to put oil on his joints before he would move again. That kid cracks us up! Here are a few photos from our best Halloween yet. We hope you all had a lot of fun!
