It’s strange how only 7 days a year spent in one place can make that place feel so magnetic, so important. Like a second home. Ocean City, Maryland is that place for us. It holds so many precious and joyful memories. Our weeks there have been so amazing, that sometimes it feels like they’ve all been dreams.
Last week we took another trip to this special place, and as a family we had an amazing time. We didn’t take nearly as many photos this year as we typically do, but it was a good thing. There are a lot of iPhone photos actually, so we’ll be sharing those too!
In what seems to have become tradition, we started the first morning of our vacation off watching the sunrise over the ocean. This year was simply stunning, even if there was a little cloud cover…
We were about to pack up when we saw these two surfers run out into the waves. We stuck around a little longer for a few more minutes, and then this flock of seagulls went flying over their heads. We’ll take it!
And now we make our way down to the “little camera” as we call it, which is just our personal point and shoot camera that we don’t mind taking out onto the sandy, salty beach. So please excuse the quality of these photos 😉

We only had one “bad” beach day and it turned out to be wonderful indeed…
We had to make a little time for a few quick family portraits. We missed you Mandy!!!
And of course, we couldn’t leave the beach without picking a few dozen of these little guys…
Until we can get back to this dream, we’ll think of it often and remember it fondly. Thank you Ocean City.
