We know… we know. It’s still summer. The first actual day of Fall isn’t until September 23rd, and we’re not rushing it. We love summer, and everything about it. The warm temperatures, pool, cookouts, beach, family gatherings, crab feasts, and all. But the crisp air is just around the corner, and we’re ready for it when it comes. Last night when we stepped outside, heading home for the night we expected to open the door to hot, muggy air. Instead we were kind of surprised to feel a gorgeous, almost cool night. It felt amazing, and got us thinking about all the fun that’s to come in this season ahead. So, here’s our Fall bucket list. These are all the things we’d love to do between now and Thanksgiving, together as a family during our down time. Of course, we’ll be lucky if we manage to get through 1/3 of this list, seeing as how Fall is incredibly busy for us. But we’ll do our best!

1. Go to the County Fair, eat apple dumplings and funnel cakes, ride the carnival rides, check out all the animals in the barns, hold baby chicks, and let Sweet Cheeks ride a pony
2. Hit up one or two vintage flea markets one Sunday morning
3. Play outside in the evenings for as long as we can, while the sun is still out
4. Eat dinners on the deck, in sweaters and scarves
5. Go apple picking, take photos in the orchard, and make our own caramel apples at home

6. Field Trips! Sweet Cheeks is old enough for field trips now, and we’ll get to go to the pumpkin patch and zoo with his class!
7. Make our own pumpkin spice lattes, homemade
8. Bake ALOT! Muffins, pies, cookies, and breads
9. Take a family trip to the pumpkin patch – get lost in the corn maze, ride the hay ride, get Sweet Cheeks face painted, and bring home a record number of pumpkins for carving 😉

10. Burn fall smelling wax in the studio all season long
11. Hand make family Halloween costumes – EVERYONE gets one this year!
12. Pumpkin carving party! Complete with roasted pumpkin seeds, apple cider, and a s’mores bonfire
13. Halloween! With our traditional Shepherds Pie for dinner before trick or treating
14. Decorate the heck out of our houses for Fall/harvest season
15. Thanksgiving! Homemade everything 🙂
