Welcome to July! Wow this summer is going by fast! After what was our busiest weekend of the year, we are here with a full recap as we head into this new week! It happens that our year is broken into two seasons, Spring/Summer and Summer/Fall weddings. The first half of the year included 12 weddings, and after a summer break, we’ll be back to photograph 18 more weddings before Christmas! Speaking of summer break… we’re officially in it! There are two weddings and two engagement sessions to be edited this week, but there are no more weddings or engagement sessions on the calendar until August. In the month ahead, we’ll have the kind of time we need to relax, recharge, and have fun with our family. There will be crab feasts, pool days, summer concerts, late night movies on the couch, relaxed mornings, and of course our annual family beach trip! It’s so exciting! The blog will be quiet for most of July, but don’t worry because we’ll be back full swing in August! And this week is going to be full of awesome couples! Here’s what you’ll see on the blog this week:
On Friday Brooke and Timmy were married at Catholic University in Washington, DC. These two might look familiar to you. They were the couple we stumbled upon the night Timmy proposed to Brooke, just as we were finishing up another engagement session on the grounds of Catholic University. You might also recognize this couple because they were the winners of our 2016 weddings giveaway! This wedding was everything we hoped it would be for this amazing couple. Anna and Jimmy were relaxed, fun, and full of smiles during their engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial. We’ll be posting their session highlights on the blog tomorrow in honor of Independence Day (thanks to their awesome memorial backdrop)! Come check it out tomorrow!
Elise and Patrick hung out with us last Friday to shoot some of their engagement photos. It was such a fun time! They’re so good together, especially in photos and we know their wedding day is going to be a blast! We’ll share more towards the end of the week!
Emma and Ryan had a gorgeous brunch wedding yesterday in hills of Virginia, at Bluemont Vineyards. Emma and Ryan are two of the best matched people we’ve ever worked with… they are truly meant for each other and being a part of their big day was such an honor. We’ll share their highlights on Thursday! Don’t miss it!
