Monday Minutes :: October 31, 2017

Happy Halloween! And of course… happy Monday! Halloween is Maggie’s favorite, and we treat this day much like we do Christmas. The Jack-O-Lanterns are carved the night before and don’t make their appearance on the doorstep until Halloween night. Everyone wears matching costumes (this year’s theme to be seen!), Shepherds Pie is served, the adirondack chairs are set up in the front yard, and as the sun sets, mini van loads of trick or treaters descend onto the neighborhood. We chat with neighbors, drink apple cider, and pass out candy. It’s really a great time, and it’s so fun to give the boys these memories and fun traditions. For now though, we’re here to tell you all about our last wedding of 2016! How did that happen so fast?! This weekend we drove up to Reading, PA for Kristen and Grant’s wedding weekend. They live in Chicago, we live outside of DC, and so we did everything by phone and email leading up to the weekend. Friday night we met them for their engagement session the night before the big day, and we knew immediately this was going to be an awesome wedding. Sure enough, it was! This is exactly how we had hoped to finish the year, and this sweet couple made our last wedding of 2016 just perfect. We’ll have more from this gorgeous wedding later in the week, plus their engagement session too!
