We’ve known Christine and her family for years. Years. Betty worked for the Davis family and their construction company for many years while the kids were in school. Maggie, Christine, and the rest of the siblings and cousins practically grew up together. Every day after school, everyone would gather at the office in downtown La Plata. The adults would finish out the work day while the kids worked on homework, grabbed some snacks from the gas station next door, and possibly even curled up for a post school day nap on one of the office sofas. It was a good time indeed. After the kids grew up, headed off to college and moved out, we all still stayed in touch. We’re like family after all. When we got the call from Christine with happy news of her engagement we were thrilled! We met Josh, and fell in love! He is the man we hoped she would find, and it’s wonderful to see them together and so happy. When Christine asked if we would photograph her wedding, we were honored to do so. This wedding was a true, classic Southern Maryland wedding. The white wash tobacco barn let sunlight through the wood planks, and the copper buckets filled with hand cut magnolia leaves were gorgeous. Christine’s step father drove her to the ceremony in his yellow pick up, and that really sealed the deal for us. This wedding has our hearts for many reasons, though the people were what made it so incredible. Take a look at this laid back, gorgeous, hometown wedding…
Christine and Josh… you know there’s no way we can get through this without crying at our desks. You have to know how much it means to us that we had the privilege of photographing this day. You have to know that we love you, your family, and the love you two share. Thank you, a million times. We wish you a lifetime of happiness. xoxo M&B
