We’ve worked with a lot of couples over the years. Most of them begin as strangers, but end up feeling like good friends when the day is done. Sometimes, we’ve had the pleasure of working with couples that we’ve known before signing on to be their wedding photographers, and those weddings have always been incredibly special to us. Siblings of former couples, friends of friends, Bridesmaids from previous weddings… all of those things have led us to work with couples we’ve had a certain level of comfort with from the get go. This wedding however was different. Carina and Maggie were more than two people who knew each other from school, these two were truly friends. They grew up dancing together, spending countless nights in the studio rehearsing or in class, and weekends away together for conventions and competitions. Dance was taken very seriously, and growing up with someone in that environment builds strong connections. Carina’s mother and Betty also became good friends. As moms of young dancers, these two made sure not to become “dance moms”. The friendships we have with with Bride and her Mother are so strong, and we were nothing short of honored to document this big day.
When we met Brandon, we were immediately in love. He’s perfect for Carina. Just perfect. We’re so happy for this wonderful couple! Take a look at this wedding, one that felt truly like family, because that’s what they are to us…
(And yes, we cried. Cried like babies. Cried all day.)
Carina and Brandon… you two are something special. We hope your days as husband and wife are full of joy, laughter, and lots of blue eyed babies! Congrats!!! xoxo M&B
