Good morning! Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas! Happy Monday! The holiday season has officially started in our world, and with a weekend off, we were able to get into the spirit of things. Saturday was our first real Saturday off since July (for real) and it also happened to be the day of the Scottish Walk in Alexandria, VA. With lots of Scottish heritage (Hamilton, Stewart) in our blood, we have been wanting to go to the walk for years but were never able to. So when we realized we were free this year, it became a priority. Maggie’s boys just loved the pipe and drums, and the gorgeous tartan highland wear was our favorite. Check out some of the walk…
Sunday, it was time to finish decorating for Christmas and find the perfect tree for the boys. We headed to our favorite cut your own tree farm in Southern Maryland, Quailfield Farm, and had so much fun on what turned out to be a warm afternoon. And thanks to marshmallows and Cheerios (which were given out like dog treats for good behavior) the boys actually sat still long enough for Betty to take some family photos of Maggie and the boys. It was a miracle!
After finding the “perfect tree” Sweet Cheeks insisted on pulling it all the way back to the car. He’s a strong little Scotsman for sure, because he had no trouble!
We hope you all had a great weekend and like many, had a chance to get ready for the holidays. We’re back to work this week with lots of bridal show prep to take care of, as well as compile our big end of year series of blog posts. Be on the lookout for those soon!
