With 28 weddings behind us for this year, and just one more to go before we wrap up 2015, a little downtime is ahead for us, just when we could use some. Christmas is coming, and we need to jump into the holiday spirit. It’s time to put all work away for an entire weekend, Friday evening through to Sunday night, and just enjoy what a “normal weekend off” feels like, doing fun Christmas stuff. Now, that doesn’t mean sleeping until lunch and staying in front of the TV all day. No, since we only get a few weekends like this a year we have to use the time wisely!
We’ll be checking out the Scottish Walk in Old Town Alexandria on Saturday, which is something we’ve wanted to do for years. This year we’re finally able to go check out the Scottish pipe and drum marches, the scottie dogs, the tartan kilts, and basque in all of our Scottish heritage. Then we’ll get to stroll around King Street, NOT during an engagement session, and we’ll get to pop into stores and window shop for fun. Sunday is all about getting our houses Christmas ready, so we’ll take everyone to the local tree farm to cut down this year’s pick, then head home to watch Elf while we decorate the tree.
No matter what we get to do over the weekend, as long as we spend time with these sweet faces we’ll be more than happy. We hope you have an awesome weekend, and you find something to do that puts you in the Christmas spirit!
