A little less than a year ago, we were driving home from a wedding, pretty late at night. Betty’s cell phone rang. It was John. He had some news, and wanted to ask us what we were up to “this time next year”? Instantly we knew… he had popped the question and Mandy had said yes! Ever since, we’ve been waiting for this big day to arrive, and it’s finally here. Thankfully, we had ONE open date in the following year’s calendar, and everyone was able to breathe a little easier once a date was set. November 14th became their wedding date, and today we are in Charlotte gearing up for the festivities.
We’ll be taking this time away from the office, away from emails, and most importantly away from our cameras. We will not be brining our “big cameras” with us. Nope. There’s a team of professionals who have been hired to document the day in gorgeous photographs. This weekend we are the Mother of the Groom, and a Bridesmaid. Instead of holding cameras in our hands, we will hold champagne glasses high in the air. We will not see the ceremony through a screen, we will witness it with mindfulness and our full attention. We will eat dinner at a table, we will watch the first dance from our seats, and we will dance the night away.
