Maggie loves Halloween. Betty loves candy corn. Around here, Halloween is more than just a day to eat candy and put on a last minute costume. No, no. We take Halloween seriously. Hand made costumes from scratch all within a theme, pumpkins galore (10 carved this year!) and big plans for the whole day. It’s so much fun! And even though Betty just puts up with it, she is all about the costumes. Sewing and constructing them has always been her thing. Maggie is in love with Halloween, neighborhood streets, decorations, and of course pumpkins. Soon her house will be that house… the one with a ridiculous number of pumpkins out front. It’s all fun, and we are looking forward to some time off on a favorite day to spend making memories and traditions for the boys.
Not only does Halloween fall on a Saturday this year, we don’t have a wedding to shoot, so we get to go all out! After a week of sewing, hot gluing, and spray painting we’ll hopefully have some fun costumes for the boys, and fingers crossed they actually wear them long enough to take a few (thousand) pictures.
We’re signing off for now to roast pumpkin seeds, get the front yard ready, put out the pumpkins, and have a ball! We hope your Halloween weekend a lot of fun! We’ll see you next week!
