Sweet Cheeks :: Almost 4

Little Chubby Cheeks has been taking up a lot of the blog’s attention for a while now. It’s time for big brother to get a little love, so we’re just signing off this week with a shout out to our Sweet Cheeks. The baby who is now a boy. The boy who still wants to be rocked to sleep at night. The boy who has more freckles across his nose every morning. The boy who rides a “big bike” now. The boy who makes our hearts jump into our throats with his sweetness, his hands on your face and a “I love you too much”.

He’s only 3 for a little longer, and so far this has been our favorite age. Of course, we’ll say that every year (hopefully). His current favorites include riding his bike, ice cream, trains, planes, dinosaurs, running through the sprinkler, temporary tattoos, and transformers (even though he’s never seen or heard of them outside of the toy store). He does a great impression of the Swedish Chef, suddenly dislikes cheese, and is “over naps”. He recently told his Mama “I’ll save my money and buy you a ring like your weddings, then I can marry you. I don’t want to leave when I get big, I’ll just stay here. No one else can have me.” Oh sweet boy… your Mama would love for that to remain true.

He’s getting so big! But in reality, he’s still so little. We must continue to remind ourselves he’s not leaving for college yet, we have a few more blinks of the eye 😉
