Monday Minutes :: April 20, 2015

Welcome back to another week! After another gorgeous weekend, we have our Monday Minutes to share!

With wedding season in full swing, our weekly workflow is finally into a steady rhythm. This time of year, we spend our Fridays in full prep mode for the next day’s wedding. This Friday we were confirming timelines, charging camera batteries, formatting memory cards, going over family formal lists, checking the weather forecast, scouting photo locations, and fueling up the car.

Saturday morning it was time to hit the road and head into downtown Washington, DC for Elyse and Kyle’s springtime wedding! We had been looking forward to this wedding ever since we met these two, and it exceeded our expectations! This DC wedding was spectacular… everything from the details, to the portraits, to the dance offs during the reception were just amazing. Not only did Elyse plan a gorgeous wedding with bright spring colors, apricot bridesmaids dresses and elements of Washington DC throughout, she also arranged for a shuttle to escort the entire bridal party to a couple of classic DC monuments for an afternoon of photos. We were in heaven! We’ll be working on this wedding today and we’ll have more to share with you later in the week. For now, here’s a current favorite of ours…

After a fun but long wedding day, our feet were ready for a rest. Yesterday called for a late morning, jeans & t-shirts, dinner at Maw Maw’s and a stroll around the lake. We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather! See you back here tomorrow!
