When you hang out in as many Bridal Suites as we do, you pick up on little tricks that make a huge difference in how the morning plays out. Today’s Tips and Tricks post lists 3 small, simple and inexpensive items to make sure you bring to the Bridal Suite. They can really make life easier!
Number One: A crochet hook
If the back of your dress involves any number of buttons, you’re going to want a small crochet hook on hand. Your Bridesmaids will thank you for having this incredibly useful item available to help them as they get you buttoned up. Instead of having to use their fingers and risk ruining their manicure, the crochet hook makes looping buttons a breeze. Plus… you’ll end up getting into the dress a lot faster than if your Bridesmaids have to do the looping by hand.
Number Two: A pair of Scissors
One solid pair of good scissors is always important to have in a Bridal Suite. Those Bridesmaids dresses need something to hang from, but once your maids put their dresses on those unsightly hanger ribbons tend to get in the way. You know the ones that pop out under your arms and never stay put as you move? Those need to be cut off and taken care of for good. Scissors will come in handy in several other ways throughout the day we’re sure, but at least this one use we can always count on.
Number Three: A drinking straw
Yes a drinking straw for the Bride and Bridesmaids will help keep their lipstick from coming off before they ever make it to the ceremony. You gotta stay hydrated, and no matter your drink of choice make sure to drink from a straw. This will keep your lips perfectly made up, long after your makeup artist has left the venue. As an added bonus, find pretty straws to match your wedding colors and bam! Photo op!
