This weekend was a busy one for us! No we didn’t have any weddings or engagements to photograph, and bridal show season is still a few weeks away. This weekend was all about Sweet Cheeks. There’s been a lot of advice and suggestions sent our way as to how we can prepare our sweet boy for the new baby. One idea was to make sure we spent a lot of quality time with the big brother in the time we had before the baby’s arrival, when things will have to change. So that’s what we did! Of course, we would have done all of these fun things anyway this season, just maybe not all in one weekend 😉
Saturday we visited National Harbor for their Christmas fun. Sweet Cheeks of course visited with the REAL Santa, but was more excited to ride the Peeps train at least 9 times. This boy loves his trains, and by the end of our day he was directing kids on and off of the train like the Conductor. He braved the cold for a ride on the merry go round, and we all had a great time!
On Sunday we headed up to Baltimore to visit his favorite place… the B&O Railroad Museum. On any average day it’s a great place to visit, with a lot of trains to see, but this weekend was extra special. They had model train clubs from all over Maryland set up huge model train displays! This is Sweet Cheeks’ new obsession, all things model trains. In fact, it’s what he asked Santa for this year! So he was just in heaven. He spent 5 hours, open to close, watching the trains go by jumping from one display to the next. The best part, was the night before our trip to the museum he had the idea to wear his Halloween costume! He said “I can be an engineer like the big guys!” and so he was.
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! We’re back tomorrow with a look back at some favorite engagement photos from the Fall of 2014… see you tomorrow!
