Monday Minutes :: November 17, 2014

Hey there! And happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend. We’re back this morning after a rather relaxing one ourselves. Without a wedding to photograph, we made sure to use our limited free time wisely. Saturday was a day unlike most Saturdays in our lives. We slept past our alarms, didn’t have to wear our “wedding shoes”, drank hot chocolate and did some really awesome vintage shopping at a local flea market. After scoring some vintage Christmas decor items, we were off to our next very important item of the day… a nap  😉 That’s right. Around 3pm when we would typically be frantic, trying to make sure we get through a family formal photo request list we were instead curled up on our sofas to catch some zzz’s. It actually didn’t come very easy. We had to remind ourselves all day long that it was OK to do nothing, that we were allowed to take a day off and recharge. Eventually we got the hang of it. Later Saturday night we got together again for a family dinner and we couldn’t help but notice how great we felt. Maybe taking a day off once a week would be a great idea for 2015  😉

Of course we can’t sit still for too long, so it was good that we had the chance to photograph two people we’re crazy about. John and Mandy had their engagement session this weekend and we can’t wait to share these photos with you all! Check back later in the week for the full feature…
