Oh this wedding… this wedding is one that struck a cord with us. First of all, Carly and Brian are two of the most genuine, kind, funny and sweet people we’ve ever met. Instantly we liked them, and after our first meeting finished we knew we would continue to fall in love with them. They are exactly the type of people any photographer would want to work with. Heck, these two are exactly the type of people we want to be friends with. How this couple planned their wedding is how all couples should go about it. They knew what they wanted, hired a team of professionals they trusted, then said “do your thing”. The floral designer had full control and the flowers are some of the most beautiful we’ve ever photographed. The caterer was asked “what’s your best menu?” and that’s what was served (to die for by the way). Bridesmaids chose their dresses, and Carly said “whatever you like”. When we as their photographers asked Carly and Brian how they wanted their timeline to run, we were told “you’re the experts, you tell us”. Needless to say, we were speechless. This wedding day was one of the best we’ve ever seen, and ALL of the vendors who worked with, and became friends with this couple, were raving about THEM for being such incredible clients. To us though, they are more. They are friends, and we couldn’t be happier about that.
This day couldn’t have been any better, and the love between Carly and Brian was so clear that it became the real focus of the day. That friends, is what really made this day so outstanding. Even with the perfect flowers, incredible food, gorgeous sunset, and plenty of time for photos… the thing that stood out the most was how perfect they are for one another and how happy they make each other. Of course, the one thing that might have tipped the scales for their wedding was having the couple’s favorite band perform. When Carly told us the morning of her wedding that Carbon Leaf would be playing, LIVE, all day at her wedding we thought she was kidding. Because that’s crazy! Sure enough, moments before the ceremony began, the band carried their instruments into the field, stood behind the last row of seats, and sang Carly down the aisle to “Life Less Ordinary”. This moment is one we’ll always remember, and this wedding is one that will stick with us for a long time. Take a look…
SEE?!?! There they are! Just chilling out, singing and playing during the ceremony. Pretty unbelievable.
This light was just too much. Ahhhh!
Then the real party started 😉
It was like a gosh darn concert at their reception, everyone just loved it!
Well Carly and Brian, you’ve managed to make us love you even more! Hopefully you have even just the slightest idea of how special you two are to us, and how honored we were to be your photographers. Being with you through this day was such a joy for us, and we are so happy that it turned out to be everything you had hoped for. Please, always stay in touch. We want to hear about all the wonderful things life brings you. All our love, M&B
