Katie and Jess :: Woodlawn Farm Wedding

Katie and Jess contacted us about their wedding rather close to their wedding date, at least compared to most couples we work with. Luckily for us, we happened to be available and willing to shoot a double header over Labor Day weekend. Aside from a few emails and a phone call here or there, we didn’t know these two. They live out of state now, but met at St. Mary’s college, which is why they chose Woodlawn Farm as their wedding venue. So getting together for an engagement session was tough, but we managed to make it work. Three days before their wedding, we met up with Katie and Jess to get some engagement photos. Immediately we knew how special these two were. We left the session so excited for their big day. As their wedding day progressed we realized just how lucky we were to get to work with two such generous, loving, thoughtful individuals. By the end of the night it felt like we had known them for years. We started this weekend getting to know two practical strangers, and we left them after the last song of their reception feeling like old friends. Everything about their wedding was perfect. The dress, the weather, the light, the colors, the decor. And it couldn’t have been any different for such an amazing couple. Take a look at this gorgeous day…

Katie and Jess, we mean it when we say that we’re lucky to have met you and photographed your wedding day. It was truly an honor to get to know you both, your perfect little girls, and your incredible families. What we saw, was that everyone who was celebrating with you on this day was proud to be there.
