Wow… that was a busy weekend! It feels like we left the house early Saturday morning and didn’t stop until late last night, and that’s basically what happened this weekend. 3 assistant interviews, 4 2015 wedding consultations, 2 engagement sessions and a charity auction kept us running this weekend! Here’s a recap of a really great weekend we spent together, with some iphone photos to boot!
Friday night was family night, and we stayed in just eating good food and relaxing. Then Saturday morning rolled around and our fun weekend began!
We spent the morning doing a first round of interviews for our new assistant position. It was incredible to get to know so many wonderful ladies and hear their stories! Then we had enough time for a 2015 wedding consultation before packing up our gear and heading into Old Town Alexandria for that evening’s engagement session.
The weather was perfectly warm and felt like spring, the streets were busy with locals walking their dogs, pushing strollers and listening to the street performers. Katie and Tyler were so easy to work with, it felt like we too were just strolling the streets with friends 🙂

When we finished their session, we jumped in the car and headed back to La Plata to be a part of a charity event at Grace Lutheran Church and School. Their annual Wine and Cheese Auction had one of our items up for bidding and it was so great to come out and support a great cause! The wine was delicious too 🙂
Sunday morning we were back at the studio again, this time for 3 different 2015 consultations. We are so thrilled to welcome 3 new couples to our 2015 season, and we can’t wait to get started on their engagement sessions! When our last consultation wrapped up, we had time to grab a bite to eat before driving out to Calvert County for another engagement session. This time we shot in a gorgeous, rolling hill farm sitting above the water. We got to wear our cowgirl boots and pretend to be real country girls. The sun was good to us yesterday, and we had the chance to shoot with warm, glowing light for the first time in a long time. Daylight Savings is our friend!
Jenna and Matthew literally rocked this session, and we can’t wait to share more with you!
