Today we’re starting up another little series of blog posts called “Things We Love”. We love to share, and when we find really great products or services we want to share it with anyone who wants to listen! Today we’re talking about how much we love Showit.
What the heck is Showit? It’s a website builder and hosting provider developed with photographers in mind. Showit is nothing new, and it’s quickly become the standard for many professionals in our industry. We’ve been a part of the Showit community for years, and we’ve loved every minute of it! The drag and drop design to this program allows anyone to build a website from scratch, style groups take the guess work out of it for some, while others may decide to hire a professional to design a custom website through the Showit platform. There are so many ways to build and maintain a website through Showit, and we love that. Even more, we love how gorgeous the websites themselves turn out! Again, this platform was build with photographers in mind and so the images really take center stage.
The design side of the Showit platform is SO EASY to use. Even though we had a professional designer build a completely custom site for us, we do not rely on him for ANY updates to the site. For example, last week we wanted to add some fresh images to the site from 2014. Without Showit’s easy drag and drop feature, we wouldn’t have been able to make these changes on our own. Because we have complete control of our website, and because it’s so easy to use… we spent no more than 10 minutes updating our galleries and main page with new images. Love that! Although photographers are largely using Showit, it can be an incredible platform for any business, especially those who use a lot of images to showcase their services. Floral Designers, Wedding Coordinators, Catering companies, and even wedding venues could use Showit as their website platform and would love it. So if you are in search of a great way to build a website, or if your current site could use a re-vamp make sure you check out Showit. We love it!

We had to make Showit the first “Things We Love” post because it is the backbone of our online presence and we couldn’t live without it.
