Monday Minutes :: January 27, 2014

Howdy! It’s Monday and it’s time for a quick recap of our weekend. It was a lot less busy than the past two weekends and for that we were grateful! Here’s what we did…

Friday we were able to relax as a family. We ate dinner at our favorite local diner, then played lots of music for Sweet Cheeks while we hung out at home. “Hey Jude” is a new favorite for the boy, as well as “Wake up Little Susie”.

Saturday morning we allowed ourselves the luxury of waking up slowly, sipping coffee in our PJ’s and eating a real breakfast in our own homes. By the afternoon we were at the studio for a Skype session with a 2015 couple, and for some pre-bridal show prep. Then we hit the road and drove into Old Town Alexandria (one of our most favorite places to shoot) for an engagement session with a really awesome couple.

Carly and Brian walked the streets with us, stopping at cute locations and were even willing to trespass on private property for an awesome background 😉

We grabbed a quick dinner together and planned out the upcoming week, then we headed down the block to Starbucks to meet with another couple for a consult. After an awesome time getting to know another fun and sweet couple we headed home to rest up for the next day’s bridal show.

Yesterday we set up our booth at the Holiday Inn Charity Bridal Show in La Plata. This is as close to home for us as a bridal show can get! Our studio is less than a mile from the hotel and we were so happy our commute was next to nothing! It was a good show and we had so much fun talking with the couples who stopped by. Thank you to everyone who chatted with us!

Today we’ll be doing a lot of emailing and super fun and exciting accounting work. But later in the week you can check out Carly and Brian’s engagement session on the blog, so come back for that!
