Well… after 6 months of putting it off, it was time for the two of us to have our own head shots re-done. The photos we had been using on our website were taken on our family beach vacation and were not cutting it. Of course, we can’t stand having our own photo taken so we avoided it for a while. Before the craziness of bridal show season set in, we knew we had a small window of time to have these new photos taken and it just had to be done. So we worked ourselves up for the big day and pushed through. This time though, we enlisted the help of our good friends at The Loft Salon in La Plata, MD. Our studio is just across the street from their brand new location, so last Friday after a morning consultation we jaywalked across Charles Street to let the ladies work their magic on us. Our hair was perfect and we actually had real makeup on! A HUGE thank you to Doni, Krystie, Terri and the staff of The Loft Salon. You made us feel beautiful and we can’t thank you enough!
We headed to one of our favorite spots for photos and pressed through the agony of being photographed 😉 Maggie’s husband was kind enough to pick up his camera again after several months away from it, and we managed to get ONE photo we could stomach. Then we needed individual portraits for our website as well, and we suffered through that part of the mini portrait session before calling it a wrap. The new shots are up on the website and our designer will be happy to see professional head shots on his website design 😉 We’re just glad we don’t have to do that again for a long, long time.
The awesome thing about having these new photos complete, is we get to check one of our 2014 goals off the list! Bam!
