A few months ago we hired a professional web designer to do an overhaul of our website. During the development and planning stages our designer asked each of us to give him a list of ten things about ourselves that were seemingly insignificant. Little things. Quirky things. Things that make us… us. And so we did. These two lists appear on our website, on each of our individual About Me pages. In case you haven’t noticed them while checking out the website, we thought we’d share them with you here today. So here they are, our “Ten Things”!
From Maggie…
1. A few cups of hazelnut coffee gets me through most mornings.
2. I have a love/hate relationship with my bangs. It’s an ongoing struggle.
3. On my iPod you’ll hear Nina Simone, The Avett Brothers, and Janice Joplin.
4. The only sunglasses that look good on me are from the dollar store. (not complaining!)
5. I’ll always say “yes” to Karaoke and my go to song is “Mercedes Benz”.
6. I tap dance down grocery store aisles.
7. If pink peonies are for sale at the market, or in the floral department at the grocery store I’ll buy a bunch or two… always.
8. Fall is my favorite season. Pumpkin flavored everything, scarves and crisp air. Ahhhh.
9. I’ve never been able to decide which color is my favorite. Sometimes yellow, sometimes minty blue, and in the fall it’s always rusty orange.
10. I lose my phone and swear it’s gone forever at almost every wedding we shoot. I’ve never actually lost my phone.
From Betty…
1. I drink what some would consider an unhealthy amount of Diet Coke. I carry a 2 liter with me everywhere I go.
2. Truth be told, I’m an old hippie chick at heart.
3. On my iPod you’ll hear FloRida, James Taylor and Pink.
4. Unravel all the yarn I own and you’d get from DC to Pittsburgh and back. Call me a yarn hoarder but I love to knit!
5. When Project Runway is on, my cell phone is turned off and I’m locked away. “Make it work”.
6. Summer is my favorite season. At the pool I’m more of a “dipper” than a “swimmer”.
7. If it were up to me, Chinese take out and chocolate eclairs would be for dinner every night.
8. My internal compass is pretty bad. I never make it home the same way I got there.
9. I remember every Jazzercize routine I ever taught. Yes… I said Jazzercize.
10. I find Maggie’s “lost” phone at almost every wedding we shoot. It’s usually in the trunk of the car.
So there you have it! A little insight into the lighthearted aspects of our personalities. It’s all true, even the phone thing… which is laughable.
