Tracy and John have been planning this wedding for what feels like years (at least to us). It seems like so long ago when we first met with them to talk about their big day, and now it’s come and gone. We love these two, and we knew how important an outdoor ceremony was to them, so with the threat of rain our eyes were on the weather radar all week. It wasn’t just going to rain… it seemed as if this day was doomed to be a wash out. So plans were changed, chairs were moved inside, and we scouted indoor portrait locations within the manor house. But then, just as guests started to arrive, the drizzle changed to mist, and then suddenly the mist stopped. The radar looked clear for at least a couple of hours, and the chairs went back onto the lawn. Tracy and John switched up the plans, decided to do a First Look, and scrambled to get outside for some portraits in the garden while things were still dry. The ceremony went off without a drop of rain, then everyone finally exhaled and thanked the clouds for their cooperation. Family formals were done, and at the last click of our shutters, the skies opened and the rain returned. Never have we been so lucky on a rainy wedding day! Take a look at this perfect day…
Meanwhile…
Then Tracy’s Daddy saw her for the first time…
Then it was John’s turn…
Then the rain stopped, and we went outside!
This was all wind. Thank you wind 😉
One last shot before heading to the reception. The rain had just started again so we stayed inside for this one…
This was one heck of a party!
Seriously… this was an awesome party!
Well guys… it happened. Your wedding day arrived with the rain but all was perfect and we couldn’t be happier for the two of you. Thank you for letting us be a part of it. To say it was an honor is an understatement. Make sure you stay in touch, and maybe we can find a reason to do it again sometime 😉 Perhaps you should throw an anniversary party each year. Congrats on your wedding, your new marriage, and all that life has in store for you. We know it’s going to be incredible. xoxo – M&B
