When we started this photography business we knew we wanted to give our couples more than just photos. Of course, the photos are the main part of the deal, but we wanted something more for our couples. Showing up to a wedding, snapping all day, then mailing out a DVD in a jewel case was not going to cut it for us. All of 2012 was spent deciding what else, more than just the photos, we wanted to give our couples. It hit is one day while standing at Maggie’s kitchen table. We didn’t want to give our couples any one thing or series of things. We wanted to give our couples an experience.
From start to finish, we want the time these couples work with us to be perfect. Every timely email response, their engagement session, the details that go into our product packaging, the connection we create… all of these build this experience we so wish to give our couples. One other, crazy good, element to the experience we provide is a custom website for each couple who works with us. We’re calling them “Love Story Sites” and they are an addition to our own website. These sites will tell each couple’s love story, and will feature their photos both from their engagement session and eventually their wedding day.
Here’s what one looks like:
Megan and Joe are our first official engagement of 2013, and the first couple to have their Love Story Site go live. We designed these sites to be simple in design, and showcase the photos. Couples can easily share their personal website link with family and friends to share their photos. For Megan and Joe, after we photograph their wedding and finalize the photos, those too will be added to their site. Pretty cool huh? We think so!
We’re loving our new Love Story Sites, and we can’t wait for more engagement sessions to start happening so we can create more of these sites for our 2013 and beyond couples.
Check out Megan and Joe’s site!
