Monday Minutes

Well… this was one of the busiest weekends of the year for us! Rarely do we ever shoot two weddings in one weekend, but for two of the most wonderful, sweet couples out there we just had to, and we’re so glad we did! Both of these weddings were full of love, family, laughter and the prettiest overcast skies. Here’s a recap of our weekend and a preview of what’s to come on the blog later this week!

Caitlin and Brian were married at Airlie in Virginia and we cannot handle how gorgeous the gardens are at this venue! Their butterfly garden was the perfect spot for a quick portrait session with this Bride and Groom, before it was time to make our way to the ceremony. Our eyes were on the sky all day, watching dark clouds roll right over us, so we kept the couple close to cover. Even though the chance of thunderstorms remained strong throughout the day, we only ever had a few drops. These two never seemed to even consider the clouds… they were absolutely amazing!

Allie and Brian were married at London Town Gardens in Maryland, and we welcomed the comfortably cool and overcast day, especially because the chance of rain was zero! If there has ever been a relaxed Bride, it’s Allie. She was a dream to work with, and all of the vendors talked about how much we loved her! Allie and Brian just oozed affection for one another and we loved watching them mingle with their guests, always smiling, always laughing… oh so happy.

Before the weekend got started, we drifted from our typical type of session, and got together with this former couple of ours for an anniversary session! Krystie and Kyle were married in 2015 and we had the privilege of photographing their wedding day. When they told us they were expecting sweet baby David we were overjoyed for them! Now that he’s here, and as adorable as ever, we got together for some fun photos of this young family. This was so fun!
