After a weekend off, the blog is kind of quiet this week which is actually a good thing! Over the last week, we’ve had an awesome time sitting down with several new couples who are planning weddings and searching for a wedding photography team. Without a ton of editing to get through, we’ve been more available than what is typical for these sort of meetings and it’s been so much fun!

We love getting feedback from couples, and as it turns out even couples we haven’t worked with yet can give us some helpful advice! Although we wish we could be available for every couple who would like to work with us, there are only so many Saturdays in a year. More often than we like, we have to turn couples away and send them to our talented friends in the photography industry because we’re already booked on their date. This week, we heard from a few couples that they had no idea how quickly photographers booked up, and that they wish they had known what our open dates were prior to securing a venue and/or date. It blows us away that anyone would consider booking their date around our availability, but it seems this information could have been beneficial to a handful of couples. So today we’re listing our availability!

Yesterday we added our 21st couple to the 2017 calendar and we were thrilled to do so! 21 couples have trusted us with the task of documenting their big day and we’re pinching ourselves! We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Every year we get to do this for a living is a gift, and we are grateful for the opportunity each of our couples give us!

With this 21st couple added to our flock, we’re now looking at just 9 more spaces available in 2017. After that, we’ll be focusing on the couples we have, and being available to give them our best. What can be confusing, is that there are more than 9 “available” Saturdays in our calendar. Just because a date is open, doesn’t mean we’ll be able to take on a wedding for that date. Once we hit 30, we’ll be closing the calendar even if a handful of Saturdays remain open. On those weekends, we’ll be without a wedding and have time for engagement sessions, meetings, and you know… life. So when you see more than 9 available dates listed below, please be aware that not all of these dates are going to be able to be secured.

As of this morning, the following Saturday dates are available for weddings within our calendar:

April 29

July 8

July 29

August 5

August 19

September 2

September 23

September 30

October 21

October 28

November 11

November 18

*Dates after Thanksgiving are taken on a case by case basis, as are Sunday or Friday dates. Inquire for more information!

Before agreeing to be anyone’s wedding photographers, it’s our job to ensure we are a good fit. Wedding photography and the entire experience is so personal, it’s imperative that we connect with each couple, and that they connect with us. It’s important to us that we have a time to sit down and talk, get to know each other, and decide as a group if we are the best photographers for the job. That’s why we make so much time for these new couple meetings, even if they have to happen over Skype!

We hope this helps anyone who is searching for a wedding photography team, especially those who are interested in working with us! Hopefully with this information being on the blog now, we won’t have to sadly tell couples we’re not available for their date.
