Remember that really awesome photo contest we talked about a couple of weeks back? The one we just threw some of our photos into for fun, to see if any would make it past the first round?
You’ll never believe it… we won! We placed in the top 20 of photos in the Details: All Dressed Up category! In fact, we came in 11th place which is incredible if we say so ourselves. It’s actually still hard to believe, we truly were just hoping to get past the first round of voting. The fact that we placed is nuts. If 11th place doesn’t seem all that impressive, keep in mind in this category alone we were up against 2,801 other photos. Yes that’s right, out of 2,801 photos, the one below was ranked 11th. In total the entire contest received 23,153,465 votes across the board. It’s unreal!
We’re still trying to think of words to describe what this means to us. Last year we watched the contest, voted and waited for the winners to be announced in awe of the gorgeous photos we were looking at. So to be included with this group of images and talented photographers is nothing short of an honor. Seriously an honor.
Placing in the Shoot and Share Photo Contest was one of those secret goals we kept to ourselves, never really saying it out loud because of how ridiculous it sounded. Impossible. Well, it seems we shouldn’t be afraid to speak those crazy goals out loud from now on. Thank you so much for anyone who clicked on this image. You helped this little dream of ours come true.
